Egg Hatching Project: Lockdown Stage Begins

🐥🥚 Our Egg Hatching Journey – Lockdown Stage 🥚🐥

Our chicken eggs are now safely settled into their incubator as they begin the exciting lockdown stage of the hatching process.

At this important point in the journey:

🌡 The temperature is kept carefully stable
💧 The humidity is increased
🔄 The eggs are no longer turned

These changes help the chicks move into position, getting ready for the final stage — hatching.

Meanwhile, our duck eggs continue to grow and develop and will be entering their lockdown stage very soon.

The children have been fascinated observing the changes and talking about what might be happening inside the eggs. This hands-on experience is supporting their understanding of life cycles, patience, and caring for living things.

We are getting closer to hopefully meeting our chicks and ducklings, and we can’t wait to share this special moment with everyone.
