Today we enjoyed celebrating National Love Your Pet Day at Banana Moon Dyce.

A huge thank you to our wonderful families who shared photos of their much-loved pets with us. The children loved looking at the pictures, pointing them out to their friends, and telling us all about what makes their pets so special. It was a lovely opportunity to encourage communication, confidence, and connection, as the children proudly spoke about their furry (and sometimes not so furry!) family members.

Of course, we couldn’t forget about a very special member of our nursery family — our pet snail, Hector! The children were excited to greet him today with cheerful hellos and lovely observations. One child even commented that Hector’s shell looked like a giant ice cream cone, which made everyone smile.

Hector is a much-loved part of our nursery, and the children enjoy helping to look after him and learning about how to care for living things.

It was a wonderful day filled with conversations, curiosity, and plenty of love for our pets.
