🌟 Team Reflection & Growth: Personal Plan Development 🌟
Last month, our staff team came together for a focused and meaningful session on strengthening our Personal Plans. It was a brilliant opportunity for us to reflect, collaborate, and ensure we continue to “get it right” for our children and families.
During the session, we:
✨ Explored the new Personal Plan format, discussing how it supports greater consistency, clarity, and a deeper understanding of each child’s needs, routines, and learning journey.
✨ Enhanced the depth and detail of our plans, ensuring our notes truly reflect each child as an individual — their routines, interests, development, wellbeing, and the unique way they experience their day.
✨ Reconnected our practice with national guidance and key documents, linking our planning back to frameworks such as Realising the Ambition, UNCRC, My Family, My Care Setting, and the SHANARRI wellbeing indicators to ensure our approach remains meaningful, child-centred, and aligned with best practice.
✨ Shared examples and strategies across rooms, strengthening consistency from ages 0–5 and supporting smooth, confident transitions for children and families.
We are incredibly proud of the reflective discussions that took place, the professional curiosity shown by the team, and their commitment to continuous improvement.
By refreshing our approach together, we are ensuring our Personal Plans remain strong, responsive, and truly representative of each child — supporting deeper learning, confident transitions, and positive partnerships with families.
Here’s to another month of growth, teamwork, and keeping our children at the heart of everything we do. 🩵💛
