A Special Goodbye to Smokey, Ash and Ember

Today was a very special and emotional moment at Banana Moon Dyce as we said goodbye to Smokey, Ash and Ember as they returned to the farm together.

Smokey was carefully incubated and hatched here at nursery, giving the children an incredible opportunity to observe and experience the beginning of a life cycle first-hand. Later, Ash and Ember joined us from the farm to support Smokey as he continued to grow and develop.

Over the past few weeks, the children have thoroughly enjoyed caring for the chicks, observing their personalities and learning more about how animals grow and change through meaningful, real-life experiences. The children showed kindness, patience and curiosity throughout the experience while developing a deeper understanding of the world around them.

We were delighted to receive a lovely photo and video update showing Smokey, Ash and Ember settling into their new surroundings at the farm and exploring together happily.

Although the children and team will miss our little trio very much, we are so pleased to know they are beginning the next stage of their journey together where they can continue to grow side by side.
