Team Training with the Additional Support Needs Advisory Project

Last week, our team took part in a valuable training session delivered by the Additional Support Needs Advisory Project (ASNAP).

The session focused on supporting children with additional support needs, helping our practitioners to deepen their understanding of individual differences, recognise needs early, and reflect on inclusive approaches within our nursery environment.

Throughout the session, the team explored real-life scenarios, shared experiences, and gained practical strategies that can be used in everyday practice to support children’s learning, wellbeing, and emotional development.

A huge thank you to Wendy and Roz for delivering such an informative and supportive session. They shared how pleased they were with the systems we have in place to support all children, particularly in helping them manage big emotions and providing spaces for rest and downtime.

We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing support and guidance, not only during the training but also through their visits to the nursery. Their expertise continues to be invaluable in helping us strengthen our inclusive practice.
