Banana Moon Dyce Celebrates Michelle’s National Award Shortlisting

We are delighted to share that our wonderful Michelle has been shortlisted for the National Early Years Teacher of the Year Award 2026.

Michelle has been part of the Banana Moon Dyce team since January 2019 and has consistently shown exceptional dedication, care and passion in her role. She creates a nurturing and welcoming environment where children feel safe, valued and supported throughout their early years journey.

Her warm and caring nature allows children to build confidence, independence and strong relationships while helping them thrive through meaningful learning experiences and daily interactions.

Michelle is also an incredibly supportive member of our nursery team. She is always approachable, encouraging and willing to support both colleagues and families, helping to create the positive environment we are so proud of at Banana Moon Dyce.

Being shortlisted for this national award is a fantastic achievement and a true reflection of Michelle’s hard work, professionalism and commitment to early years education. We are incredibly proud of her and this well-deserved recognition.
